Confetti throw

Jameena, on July 28, 2017 at 6:32 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 28

Has anyone done this? I always see pictures of this after the bride and groom and pronounced husband and wife or a fun celebration at the reception. I don't think I need a confetti cannon, do people just have their handfuls and toss it up? I attached a picture that looks magical, I would love to recreate!

Make sure your venue allows it. Many do not.

Seems like a major waste of paper

And also make sure it's biodegradable, even though I would still feel bad about all the trash laying around after.

Would not want confetti thrown at me. I imagine it sticking to my hair and makeup.

Haven't seen this. My friends did confetti guns/cannons and a few were duds so read reviews on them!

    yes! This is a must.

@Power2 it will definitely stick but i love confetti! I might consider dried lavender, that's also one my favorites.

I haven't seen this done, but it looks cool. We are hoping to provide guests with bubbles, so they could blow them as we're pronounced husband and wife.

The photo looks magical because the confetti is a photoshop overlay.

Talk to your photographer about this final look. This was created in post production.

It does look like so much fun! Thanks girl!

Thanks @Jess, I've done some reviews but they are just so expensive! I hope someone who's done it can say they got the same effect without one! It would save me from buying the cannon...

It's really pretty!! Definitely check with your venue. Ours didn't allow that or fake petals.

Jameena, the great thing about the overlay is that there's no mess to clean up! If your venue does allow guests to throw ANYTHING, your photographer can overlay the confetti file. The guests just need to be in the motion of throwing something.

I did bubbles for my first wedding & it makes for really pretty pictures! Confetti is really hard to clean up! Just keep that in mind.

On Pintrest, they have links to free printables to make your own paper cones. Just fill them up the night before and have your guests toss away!

If you like the look, we're doing flower petals. Our florist is making little bags with flower petals to leave on the end of each aisle with a cute note that says something like "when Mr. and Mrs. come your way, throw some petals and shout hooray!" Haha
