Confetti in hair??

Taylor, on September 19, 2019 at 2:37 PM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 8
I am going to have a confetti toss during our recessional. They are dried flowers/lavender so completely safe for the environment. But I’m worried about it getting stuck in my hair?? Anyone have this experience? How did you get the pieces out without ruining your up-do?

Unless you have a MLB pitcher throwing the confetti at your wedding, it should land gracefully on top of your hair and someone should be able to remove the tiny pieces pretty easily without digging through the strands.

That’s what I was thinking too, like I’ll just get out as much as I can without ruining my hair. It’s just that our family, group and couple photos are immediately after and I don’t want to have them visible then lol. I feel like I’m definitely over-thinking 😂 but the wedding is next weekend so I’m stressing over the tiny details lol

Hahaha good point. The dried flowers are my worry because some of them are really light and not hard like rice or paper confetti which would just brush off. I think I just needed someone to tell me you’re good so I can let it go 😂😂 thanks gf!

My bridesmaids and I threw gold confetti everywhere for pictures, and it was all up in my hair. Between the four of them, they got it all out and nobody else would've known based on my hair. It should just land in your hair, it's probably not going to get buried.

Yeah agree that the pieces should get too deep into your hair. But have tweezers in your wedding day bag. That way if any pieces really make their way in there, you can pin point the flower and not dig fingers into your hair.

I'm kinda thinking between the energy of the toss and movement of you walking through, it might just bounce off. Worse Case Scenario it will be laying on top of your styled hair, so I would think it could be picked out quick and easy.

Oh my gosh, Caytlyn's MLB pitcher---that's hilarious! I think what she's saying is: in the "imaginary" wedding world---the lovely scented floral confetti should land gracefully on top of your hair and your trusty experienced confetti hair retrieval companion will make sure your up-do doesn't turn into a Debbie Downer-do! But in the REAL world........use your team dodgeball skills and duck away from the MLB pitchers and the MLCT's (Major League Confetti Throwers!)
