Conference Room Chairs for Ceremony

on October 22, 2019 at 4:22 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 20
I know people say that chairs don’t matter or guests won’t remember if you had chiavari chairs or had chair covers. But what if I use these padded conference room chairs? Would people notice?

My wedding ceremony and reception will take place in a hotel ballroom/conference room. And to save money, I’m considering not upgrading to chiavari chairs or use chair covers. Do you think people would notice? I mean, I think these conference room chairs are more comfortable... but just a bit unconventional. So would this be jarring for guests as they come in?

This is totally fine! We’ve attended weddings that have used very similar chairs and no one has ever said anything.

I would probably prefer a wedding to have chairs like these. Sure they may be just a bit unconventional, but like you said they're way more comfortable! I wouldn't even both with chair covers, they look just fine Smiley smile Always save $$$ where you can!

Personally I HATE chair covers (especially when they have the white covers with giant bows on the back). I say go chiavari or go home.

I am getting married at a hotel too and am not upgrading to the chiavari chairs. Our hotel charges $5 a chair and with 150 people, $750 could go towards open bar or an upgrade somewhere else.

They are fine (my chairs will be similar, but beige). They will definitely add color to your space. I would just make sure it wouldn't clash with your chosen colors but enhances them.

It’s good to know that there are other couple who have done the same!

Ooh, good point about the color clashing! I haven’t decided on a color scheme yet. So if we’re set on these red chairs, I’ll have to make sure I don’t have green in my colors 🤔

Yay for hotel weddings! You’re very right about how upgrading chairs could hike up the price with the amount of guests there are...

I would love a chair like this at a wedding. Most chiavari chairs look pretty, but are uncomfy and chair covers are pain!

I've seen these at weddings, they seem fine to me. With the proper decorations (flower, aisle runner, etc.) I don't think you need to upgrade chairs.

My hotel venue had those exact chairs and nobody said a word about them. They were plenty comfy and I flat out refused chair covers.

Thank you everyone for commenting! I was feeling unsure about using these chairs but after hearing from everyone’s experiences and opinions, I do feel a lot more confident about them! ❤️

Lol. I hate chair overs too. They seem so outdated. I would prefer almost any kind of chairs instead if covers. 😝

Chair covers are so eh lol. Personally I think your venue provides pretty nice looking chairs! & trust me, the last thing guests are thinking about, talking about, or remembering, are your chairs lol. Save that money girl!

I think guests will see them, but people don't necessarily care too much. They may throw your decor off though.
