We picked ours after we picked our venue, but our colors aren't based on our venue. We each picked out one color that we wanted, and then we picked out a third color together that went with the two colors we each picked separately.

We always knew we were going to have Tiffany Blue in our color scheme somehow. We didn't finalize the colors and theme until after we booked the venue. We picked, grey, ivory, and taupe with a pop of Tiffany Blue throughout.

We chose ours beforehand. We've changed venues a couple times and we had changed our colors a few times but it had nothing to do with the venue. We've had the worst luck during our wedding planning. We're just glad it's finally coming together this time. Our main theme is marble and we'll have pops of wine and navy blue with silver trimmings within the decor.

I'd pick the venue first. Most color schemes won't change, but you might want to pick some colors over others depending on what your venue looks like. Unless it's a completely white blank canvas, I'd want to use the venue colors to tell part of the color story.

Choose the venue first. It’s way easier decorate with a venue (style & color) than against it.

We originally chose a color palette we liked, but then changed it once we booked the venue because the colors would clash.

We picked out colors after, but mainly because I was so indecisive. I didn’t consider the venue much, since it’s a fairly neutral place and lots of colors look good there. We did navy with orange and deep pink (almost fuschia) flowers, and some silver here and there.

The first thing we chose was colors. My pick was peach, fiance's pick was navy, and we'll also use light blue and pops of rose gold to help everything flow together. The venue we like best (no deposit yet) is pretty neutral in color and outside there is a lot of greenery so there won't be any major clashes. What are your plans?
