Colors!

Nicole, on December 6, 2019 at 12:32 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 35
First off, let me start by saying I am soooo indecisive! Even about my wedding day! Haha I know this is the style of dress I want my girls to wear in my bridal party, but I’m so undecided about the color! We’re getting married December 5th of next year. So I don’t want to do a total Christmas themed wedding, but I definitely still want it to be Winter Wonderland (ish) with Christmas vibes.
Colors! 1
I love both these colors! The first one is Cabernet and I like that it’s darker. Still winter wonderland (ish) but not totally Christmas. I love the reddish color on the right too, but maybe it’s tooooo red. Ugh, help. Hahaha

Personally I'm drawn more towards the more red one on the right. But I could see how it could become too Christmas-y. What other colors are in your bridal party's wardrobe?

As long as you aren't decorating with white or green I wouldn't worry about the shade of red. I prefer the one on the right (brighter). I think it will stand out better in pictures, especially if you choose to do them outside since the background will likely be a little more brown and less colorful because of the lack of greenery in the winter.

I prefer the wine color on the left! That's the color my bridesmaids will be in for our winter wedding in February Smiley smile If you're not looking for Christmas vibes, I would avoid the bright red on the right personally.

I think the darker one would be less Christmas-y. But I also love the brighter one, and I think as long as the rest of the wedding doesn't have Christmas vibes then I think you could get away with it. I would say if you haven't already order swatches to see which color you like better in person, it may make a difference.

The colors don't show well on the site. Look at Instagram or the reviews to see how they really look.

Is that the Azazie Cabernet (darker one?) vs the Azazie Burgundy (lighter one?).

If so, the Cabernet looks more like burgundy and the burgundy looks more like red (in real life). Depends what you are going for. I prefer cabernet.

If you're going for a more formal feel, I'd choose the left red color Smiley smile

I went with a deep burgundy/wine theme with my bridesmaid's dresses. Here's an example of the Cabernet color in a junior bridesmaid version in bright natural light.

I had a dress in the cabernet and loved it. And in different lightings the color showed differently too. You can totally still make it a "christmas theme" without being too christmas-y

I like the red on the right, I think it suits your Christmas theme better and it's more pleasant to the eye

I want to do like a wine color (I think) for the “red” and some shade of green.. I haven’t decided if I prefer light like a sage green, or dark like a forest green. And rose gold! Loooove rose gold! Haha
I can’t decide if the one on the right is too bright red because then it will just scream Christmas.

Ohhh good point about the scenery! I do want to do some shade of green.. and rose gold accents. The venue is rustic and will be decorated with greenery and white lights (for Christmas), so I was thinking the darker one would blend in better? But you’re right, the red one would stand out better in pics! Ugh, I’m so indecisive 😂

Somebody else mentioned too that the brighter one would stand out better in pictures, so definitely pleasant to the eye! I think both colors are gorgeous. I just don’t want the one on the right to be toooo bright. I ordered swatches! Anxiously awaiting their arrival. Haha
