Do your engagement photos have to match the theme or color of the wedding? (so my gf and i are taking a trip to Texas, originally where I'm from, but we are going in may and take some early save the dates photos so we can hand out some out to friends in texas. im just wondering if the colors in the photos should match the theme of the wedding. my wedding is September 2020, the them is purple and orange more fall themed. )

    Nope, you don't have to match anything. Engagement pictures can be whatever you want to wear.. as dressy or as laid back as you'd like.

    They definitely don't have to match, and I don't think it's that common for them to.

    I don’t think it has to match! I think the photos come out the best when they couple is comfortable and dressed like “them”. The only thing I thought about color wise was not wearing the same color as each other.

    Nope! Definitely don't have to match. Our wedding is in October. We are taking engagement photos in May and will definitely not be wearing our weddings colors (burgundy) lol Smiley smile

    So we eneded up doing 2 different color purples to match the colors of our wedding and i say they came out great.

    Mine are not going to match at all. My wedding is deep burgundy and gold - and my engagement pics are going to be at/around Wrigley Field
