Colors?

I'm not sure that you could consider it an elopement if you're having a bridal party. Since you're having a bridal party, I would also assume you want their outfits to coordinate which would require some kind of color palette.

So would you call it a small destination wedding then? At first I was just going to let them wear whatever they wanted, but now that you mention it I would like their outfits to coordinate.

Yeah, that sounds more like an intimate destination wedding to me. Not that the terminology matters all that much.

I agree that it sounds more like a small destination wedding, If you are having a bridal party, I would recommend having them wear coordinating outfits whether that is the same dress in different colors or dresses in the same color, but different styles. Otherwise, it is going to look disorganized. Personally, I would select colors for your wedding.

I used to want to get married on the beach as I think it is a very beautiful setting, but an ex of mine and I used to talk about if we got married that we would want a beach wedding so when we broke up I changed my mind on what I wanted. My husband never would have gone for a beach wedding even if I had still wanted one as he hates the sand.

Going to your original question, I think you will need wedding colors if you're planning to have decor. This could be simple- like a bouquet or bridesmaid dresses or a ceremony arch. It would look nice if it was in the same pallet of colors so it looks cohesive.

Your bridal proposal boxes don't need to reflect your wedding colors necessarily, but would be cute if it did!

Yes that's more of why I want colors for the bouquet, dresses and accessories. I was going to put our colors in the box so they will know what color to look for if they seen some shoes or a handbag the wanted to wear at the ceremony and dinner.

That's what i was thinking as well. After talking to FH about this (with the input y'all gave), we decided to do the colors red and crème without a wedding party. I really wanted a bridal party to help me celebrate this moment but i'll be just as happy with FH and myself.
