Colors for Bridal Party Advice

I would say a blush color would look best with maroon tuxes.

We were about to do this! My FH and I love the idea of him in a burgundy tux, But we aren’t having a bridal party stand up with us, so it would have been easier to be more bold with colors. Ultimately my FH said he wanted to wear his tux again so we chose a light blue instead. I would say a champagne or blush color would go best with burgundy. How many groomsmen are you having? A lot of burgundy can look a bit much at times.

If you think it’s too much, maybe he could wear maroon and the groomsmen could wear gray.

I think that would be so pretty. The girls could wear blush, green, blue, or even a soft orange. Burgundy is a different color, but to me it’s still a base color like navy is. If he likes burgundy, start putting different colors with it to see what you like. The possibilities are endless, and you definitely don’t need to restrict your bridesmaid dresses to a typical blush or champagne!

Champagne, gold, blush, and even green. Depending on how bold you want. Also. Look up burgandy wedding palettes on google. They will bring up coordinating colors and you can see how they look

Personally, I would do something neutral like gray or black for bridesmaids dresses if the guys are going to be in burgundy suits. Or have the guy's wear burgundy suit jackets and black pants and the girls wear burgundy dresses. Or he could just wear a burgundy suit and the guys could wear black or gray. It would be a lot of burgundy so I would probably go with the fist option.

I love maroon tuxes and personally think the groom has just as much right to pick something fun for his groomsmen to wear as you do for your bridesmaids. Would you think that maroon dresses were too much? As for the bridesmaid color, that depends on what your other wedding colors are. Navy, black, mauve, or blush would work well.

I think maroon tuxes look so good! I would go with a dusty rose color.

Thank you everyone for your suggestions! I think I will look into grey/silver or something along the lines of blush, dusty rose, or mauve for the bridesmaids.

I just didn’t know if having them wear maroon and then the bridesmaids wearing another color would be too many colors going on since more traditionally bridal parties do a black, gray, or navy with one other color, not two less traditional colors (like blush and maroon without any black or grey) . Even so, it’s the one thing that he wants, and I think that it looks nice, so I think I am going to go with that. Thank you for your suggestions

I think that'd be fine. I would do maybe a grey or navy for bridesmaids

This has been so helpful! My fiancé and I have pretty much settled on burgundy and navy (with slight accents of gray and sunflowers as centerpieces) and we are going back and forth between the guys wearing navy ang the girls wearing burgundy or vice versa. I wasn't too keen on the burgundy suits at first, but I'm starting to warm up to them! Also I may choose an ivory and/or blush dress so that would go really well!
