Colors and Season

Tamara, on June 14, 2019 at 6:33 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 15
So I have had my colors chosen for our wedding. The colors are going to be Burgundy, Navy Blue, Gold and a Dusty Rose. However, I'm having a hard time with finding my perfect date for our wedding. So my inquiry is this, although my colors are dark (more fall season) would it be acceptable to have those colors for a spring or summer wedding?

I don’t see why not. It’s your wedding, so do whatever you want! Who’s gonna care? 😊

I'm using the same colors (minus the rose) for my summer wedding in 3 weeks. My FMIL was the only one who told me I shouldn't because they are fall colors but I don't care what season it is.

I just asked this same question. I was told yes. Our summer wedding colors are black/white/navy and gold.

You can choose whatever colors you want, there's no rule about seasons/colors.

I don’t think they will. Sounds like a very pretty color scheme to me. 💕

Whose are generally more of fall colors, but it really doesn't matter because colors don't have to match the season. If you really are worried about it matching the season, I would use the darker colors as little as possible. I would use the rose as a main color because that can be more of a summer/spring color. My brother got married in early spring and his colors were navy, rose, and gray, but no one thought it looked weird that he used darker colors for a spring wedding.

I think those would be beautiful anytime, but definitely for a late summer wedding!

Our fall wedding will be summer colors! We are doing blush, forest green, and rose gold. Most people think it will look like a summer wedding but it's our choice! Do what makes you feel good!

Two of your colors are light so actually I think summer would be beautiful. Emphasize the dusty rose and gold with navy accents and that would be gorgeous!

Absolutely! Just go with colors that you love and what makes you happy.
In days gone by, things were a little more structured. These days brides can make their own color choices, knowing that all colors and types of flowers and decorations are available year around if ordered in advance.
    Congratulations!
