Colored veil

I'm not panning to, but I saw this ombre blue veil on pinterest and thought it was gorgeous!

Im not wearing a veil that's colored, but my dress is!

this is a beautiful idea - though i dont know where you could get a non-traditionally colored veil... i would say etsy but it seems you've looked there already. also, depending on how detailed you want it, you could get the fabric and talk to a seamstress about sewing it onto a comb for you. you could also talk to someone about dyeing a white one the shade you want.

maybe your FH could wear navy or grey? both would compliment your color combo.

Love this idea! I'm not sure if I'm even going to wear a veil yet haha. I would get the fabric you want from a fabric store and practice dip-dying! There are lots of tutorials on YouTube for ombre dip dying and making veils! Just put the two techniques together!

Pink Petal Veil

I think a colored veil is an awesome idea! I just got my veil in the mail yesterday, it was super cheap from amazon and has pink flower petals in it! however I should have accounted for the price, it was very cheaply made. I am hoping to DIY fix it somehow but here's the picture from amazon. I liked PP's idea about an ombre veil!

Exactly! DIY is the way to go, but you have to be careful with tulle, because tulle doesn't take synthetic dye! I had a friend try to dye a diy tutu and it didn't take the dye so she used spray paint to add the color! But I do agree that youtube has lots of videos on stuff like this!

View Quoted Comment Most cheaply available tulle will not take to dyes because it is made out of plastic fibers. The only tulle that will take dye is silk tulle which is very fine and luxurious. It's pricey but it's worth it. You just can't beat the drape.

I've seen people dye tulle with Sharpie ink but it's not very colourfast. It rubs off and fades. Spray paint is fine but it can start to flake off with time if it's manipulated enough.

I’ve never seen this but it sounds like a great idea. Maybe if you find a seamstress she could make one for you?

I’m personally not a fan of this idea because I think it can look cheesy really quick. I also found a lot of pictures online where the colored veil really clashed with the dress. It has to be something that goes with your theme or style. If it is, then go for it.
