How did you ladies decided on your colors? I am at a loss with this. I would LOVE sunflowers in my wedding, but I DON'T want one of my colors as yellow. Kinda want the sunflowers as an accent flower. Will be ranch style wedding where the guys are wearing blue jeans and shirts of some sort.

I chose what I liked aha. One of my friends chose one color and her groom chose the other and it happened to pair well. With sunflowers I imagine like a navy blue would be nice with it.

I chose my favorite color and went from there. If you want sunflowers maybe do a gray and burgundy or navy and burgundy.

I chose colors liked by me and FH, plus it went well with our holiday theme. I agree with Melle that navy blue would look great accented with yellow

Initially I would cringe when someone mentioned yellow. And for as long as I can remember I wanted Tiffany Blue ans the main color. Well...after I started looking through color pallets and playing with different shades. I saw a picture on Pinterest that just "spoke" to me and I fell in love!!
Our colors are: Royal Blue, Canary Yellow and Grey (silver).
Now you could see what colors (that you like) pair nicely with yellow and just use sunflowers as a color POP to go with your other colors without actually making yellow a main focus.

Hughes of blues, oranges, purples, greens...they would all look gorgeous with a sunflower color pop

We went with purple as the main color. He proposed after our blue/black belt test for karate and the goal was to be purple belts by the time we had the wedding. It was sort of a thank you to karate for the amazing memory of getting engaged. I also wanted sunflowers in my wedding but HATE the color yellow. So my bouquet was sunflowers with purple lizzies and he had a sunflower in his boutonniere. I think it all worked really well and I LOVED my bouquet.

I love sunflowers too, I incorporated them into the bouquets and did pink for mostly everything else. I thought it would clash, but I think it turned out pretty good Smiley smile

On weddingwire, under their planning tools, there is a color generator option. That could possibly be helpful :-)

We are doing lilac and sage, as purple is my favorite color and green is FHs, so that's how we picked our colors. We will stick to mostly greenery with lilac, blush and white flowers, and wood/neutral for everything else. I think you could totally pick a main color scheme and then use just sunflowers in your bouquets and centerpieces. Maybe tie it in with sunflower napkin rings or something at the entrance. I've seen some gorgeous navy/sunflower and teal/sunflower combos on pinterest where they don't add any extra yellow. The pink with sunflowers above is gorgeous too.

I chose what I liked and kind of picked colors that would compliment it, and then I chose the muted colors, dusty sage, dusty blue and gray. There are plenty of places to try and find inspiration! Pinterest, WeddingWire, even google!

I based it off my preferences of colors in general and what I thought would go well together. Also took into consideration the season i was getting married and how my colors would look with my venue at that time of year.

We wanted our favorite colors, green and blue. We chose emerald and sapphire for our October beach wedding. Our engagement rings are also blue and green in the blue opal so it just made sense.

Sunflowers go well with burgundy, teal, and blue shades. You have a lot of options. Enjoy!

We chose our wedding colors based off colors we love. Went decided to do darker jewel tones (sapphire, emerald, dark magenta, purple etc) and pair it with fun metallic's (gold, rose gold) and having Black as an accent color to bring it all together. We are a very eclectic couple and wanted to bring that into our color scheme. This is one of our inspiration pictures.

I didn't want yellow either, but we are using sunflowers. The ladies are wearing plum and the men are wearing grey. We are using sunflowers, lavender, eucalyptus and a few other flowers for our bouquets and center pieces.
