Color of dresses for mob and Step-mog

I'm wearing ivory, MOH is wearing olive green, groom and BM are wearing navy, FOB is wearing charcoal grey. Wedding colors: greenery and navy with dusty blue, cream, and bronze accents; wedding is 7/9/22. The MOG is wearing a black dress with blue and purple flowers (they kind of look like hydrangeas)- it's very pretty. What color(s) should the MOB and Step-MOG wear? My only rule is that it's not white or off-white, and that they're not necessarily matching either. Other than that I don't care! Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Typically the parents pick their own outfits. I’d let them stick to your no-white rule and have them choose what they like.

Have they asked you for input? Otherwise you may ruffle some feathers by telling them what to wear. Where I come from, the mothers always coordinate with the rest of the wedding party and sometimes even match each other, but I know that isn't the norm everywhere.

Yep! The problem is I’m not picky aside from the fact they can’t wear white. I was thinking maybe some brides are more creative than I am at thinking of complimenting colors because my MOB and Step MOG are having trouble finding dresses that they like, and in colors that would look nice in pictures.
