Color for grooms tie

Zaira, on June 25, 2016 at 5:23 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 3

Hi lovely people, I really need your help, I don't know what color of tie the groom should wear! My bridesmaids have like nude/champagne colored dresses, with silver beading around the neck. So i decided to put the groomsmen in nude/champagne colored ties (they're all wearing black tuxes and white shirts). I'm wearing an ivory dress with gold fabric underneath (its the Cassandra dress from Maggie Sottero, the gold isn't noticeable as gold) and the groom is also wearing a black tux and white shirt. I just don't know if his tea should be silver, or black, or champagne color as well?

I think silver might look nice. With mine the GM are wearing blue ties to match the BMs, and then FH is wearing silver to be different.

My dress is light gold, (no bridal party) but my main colors are traditional red and green Christmas colors, I'm matching his tie with my dress

Traditionally, the groom's tie should match the bride's dress. This makes sense to me because the pictures you guys will cherish the most will have both of you (and maybe nobody else) in them. I have no idea what color is created when ivory lays on top of gold, but whatever that is lol.
