Hello everybody!

My wedding is October 9, 2021 and I'm so excited. The color I had originally chosen for my bridesmaids is Azazie's Cabernet , but they just released Terracotta , a new color that I am in love with.

One of my bridesmaids has already purchased her dress, so if I were to switch, I would pay for her new dress to even it out and make it up to her.

However, my MOH is not a fan of Terracotta and is saying switching colors is going to severely limit her choices. I am letting my girls pick whatever dress as long as it is in that color and floor-length. Terracotta gives 244 options, which sounds like a lot, but Cabernet gives 503, so it does limit comparatively.

Has anybody ever switched colors or disagreed with bridal party about the color? Any advice helps!

244 options is more than enough! As long as you reimburse the bridesmaid who already purchased her dress, I think you could go ahead and switch colors

Your wedding, your choice! As long as you reimburse the one who has paid for her dress, I don't see anything wrong with switching

If she can't find something she likes out of 244 options then she will not be happy with anything. Choose what you like best. I love the Terracotta. But the cabernet is also pretty. You really can't go wrong.

While I personally don't like the terracotta, it is completely up to you and your fiancé. Don't let your MOH decide for you. Over 200 choices are plenty. I would definitely buy the dress for the girl who already purchased her dress though.

Frequently the MOH is dressed in a different shade, similar color family. Consider 1 Cabernet with the rest in Terra Cotta.

Your wedding not anyone else's. you get to pick what you want
It sweet you are letting them pick their own dresses but often time i hear of bridesmaids starting to think they can control the details of the dress and the color is totally up to you. there are plenty of choices either way

As everyone else said, go with the color you love. 244 is PLENTY enough for one girl to choose from, so it shouldn't limit anything! You're allowing them to pick their style and that should be enough for them! I'm doing the same with my girls, they picked their style as long as it was in the chiffon or mesh material and as long as it was Cabernet. Nobody seemed to complain yet!
Another suggestion, and this might just be absolutely not for you...but some bridal parties have the MOH in a different color than everyone else. If everyone else did the Terracotta and she did the Cabernet, would that bother you? That might be an option just so there isn't any drama going forward.

I agree with this. While it is common currently to have a mix of colors, some shades do not work on everyone. The orange/yellow color family is like that. But the color choice is your decision.

It’s your wedding & your vision. Usually the MOH does wear a different shade so is it ok if she doesn’t switch or do you want them all in the same color?
