Collecting photos from guests

Brittany, on March 18, 2022 at 1:13 AM Posted in Do It Yourself 4 6
We have decided to skip on a videographer. My sister is great at making family DVDs from videos and photos. What is everyone's recommendations for a free/inexpensive photo sharing that will be easy for friends and family to share photos/videos that is easy for all generations to do?

There was a bride who recommended the Wedding Wire Guest app, she said really help her and her guest to share photos of the wedding. Having a hashtag will also help guests share pictures.

I used The Guest. It was super easy. Out of 60 guests I think 10 used it. We got around 350 pictures. They upload in real time as gusts take pictures using the camera on their phone. They don’t have to go back and remember to upload anything.

I'd definitely recommend the WeddingWire for Guests app! Your guests can add all of their photos & videos to one place you control:

I'm also curious about apps like The Guest. I would love to get everyone's photos, but I feel like asking them to download a whole app would be a hassle and most won't do it. In my experience only like 2 people use the hashtags when there is one. Another option is a Google Drive folder, I'm thinking of making one and sending a link to all the guests.

I've been going alot of googling and I think I'm going to test Weduploader with my sister's to see if it works. It uses google drive which I already pay for extra storage with and then could download them onto an external hard drive. I also want to test out Live Share, they say it's a web link (you can make a QR code for it) and it is a live slideshow but you can download them all. I can't find a video review of either. https://emmalinebride.com/planning/best-photo-sharing-for-wedding/
