Cocktails

What cocktails did you/are you having at your wedding?
I’m not 21 yet so I’ve hardly had any real cocktails other then what we come up with in my kitchen 😂 I won’t be 21 before the wedding so I can’t really do a tasting with out bartender. We picked our beer and wine it’s just cocktails I’m stuck on. Personally, I love fruity sweet drinks. My fiancé is more of a straight whiskey kind of guy. Any and all suggestions are welcome!

My personal go-tos are midori sours and just a typical sangria

Our venue didn’t allow liquor, but sangrias are my favorite drink.

If you're looking for sweet, disaronno sours are a cherry note and midori sours are a melon flavor, both are very good social drinks. If you want a whiskey drink, I recommend Jameson (people can have it with sprite, ginger ale, or pepsi, by preference), it is my favorite. You really can't go wrong with a Rum and coke option - recommend Captain Morgan as a basic rum choice...Cruzan Black Strap is a fantastic dark rum and that's my FH's fave, but not everyone likes the dark rich stuff (more molasses in that one).

I third sangria, and I love margaritas. Depending on your crowd, beer and wine may be fine. I know my friends and family aren’t really cocktail people, so if we hadn’t decided on a morning wedding, I would have stuck with beer and wine.

Bay Breeze is a good simple and fruity drink to go with. It's pineapple and cranberry juice with vodka. You could even do Malibu Coconut Rum instead vodka for a more tropical taste, although it wouldn't be as strong and would make it much sweeter.

We did long islands (our favorite) and rum punch. The rum punch was a huge hit with our guests 😊

Our signature drink was a red sangria. Our venue gave us a list of everything that our bar would have to make a signature drink with. Two of our friends our bartends so my husband have the list to them and they made several different drinks for my husband to try. He liked the red sangria the best. We wanted something that would match of wedding colors and red was one of our colors. I don't drink so I didn't have any of our signature drink. I heard it was really good though.

If you’re not doing an open bar, you can always skip the liquor and just do beer and wine.

My absolute favorite drink is a margarita which I think would be super easy to do as a signature drink, but I know a lot of people aren't big on tequila. FH and I are having wine and beer with a sparkling peach sangria because FH doesn't like wine or beer and the flavor he picked was peach
