Is it okay to have a cocktail reception at a destination wedding or is it in better taste to have a dinner reception? What do you ladies think?

I think its a little of both, but he definitely wants to cut costs. Decisions, decisions...

Well, I'm doing a heavy hors doeuvres menu! I don't really like sit down dinners myself and we will have lots of action stations, and chef attended stations. To keep a few things traditional we will be having butler passed hors doeuvres, and a fruit and cheese display. It was around the same price of a seated and buffet style dinner, maybe a bit more since I wanted so many options. Good luck hope thus helps
