"Cocktail hour"

For our wedding meal we are having a taco bar so my question is would it be okay to have vegetable trays set out with differnt dips for guest while the pictures are being taken? Then bring out the items for dinner right before the wedding party makes their entrance. That way guest haven't started serving themselves dinner yet but still have something to snack on during pictures.

Yep, it's a great idea to serve some snacks during your cocktail hour, and then serve dinner just as/after the wedding party enters, I think you're on the right track!

We are doing a taco bar as well and this is what we plan to do. We will actually having a nacho cheese fountain and chips - SO excited for it

We are having "Swanky Tacos" as our reception dinner! We loooove tacos!
But to answer your question, yes! Having food for your guest to munch on during cocktail hour is perfect. Keeps them from getting hungry, and also from possibly getting too drunk, while they wait. We are also doing that.

We had friends that did a taco bar, and it was a hit! During their cocktail hour, they had chips, salsa, and guacamole for people to snack on which was awesome because it fit their theme. They also had a limited open bar of craft beers and margaritas!
