Cocktail Hour

I would absolutely go. Your wedding doesn’t last long, enjoy every moment of it with your guests! It won’t detract from your grand entrance. Everyone has already seen you at the ceremony anyway lol

We joined our own cocktail hour. We wanted to eat our cocktail hour food and greet our guests so we could stay seated during dinner!

I plan on going if I'm ready in time! I'm doing an outfit change and makeup/hair touchup and taking pictures (also doing first look though) so I'm sure I won't be able to make it.

The more time with guests the better!

We escorted our guests to cocktail hour so we could watch everyone’s expressions into our pirate wine cave. We grabbed a drink and then snuck out to change. Nobody noticed as they were busy drinking & mingling!!

Haven’t even thought about that. I️ think we may join them!

We are taking pictures during cocktail hour but if we get done early I’m hoping we can stop in! I don’t think it’d be weird or take away for your entrance at all!

We're going to try to! we are not doing a first look so we'll have the ceremony, bridal party pictures while cocktail hour is going on, and we're gonna try and sneak in for the tail end of it. but i refuse to do a first look cuz i'm very traditional in that way i don't want him to see me before walking down the aisle.

If you aren't required to be elsewhere, I'd definitely go to your cocktail hour. I don't think we are doing a first look so will likely do our formal photos right after our ceremony. If they don't take up the full hour we absolutely plan on joining our guests.

It might be a little weird to see your guests and then do a grand entrance right after, but I don't think it will actually take away from that moment.

I kinda want to join my cocktail hour for the Hors d’oeuvres and have more time with my guest but it would make my grand entrance a little weird so I’ll prob pass.. may have my venue bring hors d’oeuvres and drinks to the bridal suite for wedding party idk..

I think it would be a nice touch to go to your own cocktail hour for a little bit - I just wouldn't stay until the end of the cocktail hour. Most of the time the bridal party takes photos during the cocktail hour, so if you have time left over, I'd say for sure attend! Then just have you and your bridal party make a quick exit back to the bridal suite while everyone is being seating for the reception so you can do your grand entrance.

My FH and I aren't doing a cocktail hour b/c we are taking a majority of our photos after our first look. While guests are getting seated in the reception hall we will take our remaining photos with family, but if we were doing a cocktail hour, we would probably attend for a few minutes before making our entrance.

I would go! my DH and i spent cocktail hour with family and friends. did an accidental receiving line right at the bar and then we mingled and ate some apps - once it was time to start the reception they gathered all of us. i don't think it will take away from anything! you still do fun dances and songs so i say enjoy the cocktail hour!

I'm pretty sure we'll be taking pics when everyone is enjoying cocktail hour. But if there is time , I do want the Hors d'oeuvres we'll have lol.
