Cocktail Hour Music

Emily, on August 20, 2020 at 4:43 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 5
Hey guys so I have some questions. For cocktail hour did anyone have music playing through their dj or no to music? And which is better for a wedding ceremony the dj or a string quartet.

We had our DJ play some background music during cocktail hour for ambience. A string quartet would be nice, especially if you are having them for the ceremony. We just had a DJ for everything.

Our DJ took our musical tastes and put together a playlist for the cocktail hour that allowed for socializing with ambience.

Bands can be nice, but very pricey.

Our DJ played instrumental background music during our cocktail hour, at our request.

DJ vs quartet is a personal preference. Either is fine.

We are having our DJ play some background music. He gave us the option of making our own playlist or using one he’s already made. We are probably going to do a combination of both.
