Hello ladies and gents. To those of you having weddings at venues that aren't all inclusive or let you bring your own caterer/outside food (store bought, not homemade): what are you serving for cocktail hour? My venue is not all inclusive and my caterer is all set for dinner and even offered (without extra charge) to have the servers help set up and serve during cocktail hour (I plan on tipping them heavy though at the end of the night as compensation in addition to what I'm paying the catering company) even though I'm not getting my cocktail food from them.
My plan as of right now (and suggested by my caterer) was to order trays like veggies, fruit, and meat and cheese and cracker trays for cocktail hour, something light since dinner would follow less than an hour after it ended. Has anyone done this before? How many guests did you have and how many trays did you have? What would you recommend for 100 guests? Pic attached of the kind of party tray I'm talking about.
