What kind of food are you providing for the cocktail hour?

Since our buffet dinner is at 5, we'll be having a pretty light cocktail hour with a meat & cheese tray and fruit & veggie tray.

Our ceremony is at 4:30 with light refreshments (cookies and drinks like water/tea/lemonade). Cocktail hour then starts at 5 and we're probably just going to do something like cheese and crackers or a crudite board.

Dinner starts around 6:15 and will be a heavy family-style course, so we didn't want to go too crazy during cocktail hour. My wedding coordinator is getting married the week before me at the same venue and said providing a ton of options during cocktail hour is typically a waste; she's only doing 1 or 2 herself.

Here are a few of the other options we thought about that my venue offers, just for ideas:

    - Potato Chips & Dip
    - Balsamic Olives with Roasted Peppers and Onions
    - Crudité Board with Roasted Poblano Dip
    - Cheese & Crackers
    - Hummus & Pita
    - Fruit & Yogurt
    - Pork Tots with Pickled Onions, BBQ Pork and Cheddar Cheese
    - Anti-Pasta, Cured Meats, Cheese, Olives, Artichokes & Peppers

We are having 6-8 passed items: haven’t finished picking them out yet but it will be a mixture of beef, fish, and chicken items. We will also be having two chef stations: a New Jersey station ( sausage and peppers) and a slider station. We have so much food but our family can eat. Our reception is also a buffet dinner with 5 different options. So much food

We got married on a vineyard, so we did assorted cheeses, Charcuterie, fruits, and house made breads.
