Cocktail hour food for a bbq feast?

Cassandra, on May 5, 2018 at 12:28 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 1 10
I’m trying to brainstorm cocktail hour food ideas and am stuck.

Our reception will have BBQ from our favorite local place, and will consist of BBQ meats, Mac n cheese, wedding baked beans, cornbread, Carolina slaw.

I want to have some light light snacks for cocktail hour but don’t want it to completely clash with the food we’ll be serving later.

Any suggestions?

We are having BBQ as well! We are thinking about doing fruit and veggie platters, maybe cheese and crackers as well. I'll have to check back on this thread for other ideas too.

I think I'd enjoy deviled eggs, salad skewers, different kinds of cheese and crackers or mini watermelon salad or potato salad...

Could you do a French fry bar with different seasonings or a baked potato bar? Perhaps hush puppies or small corn fritters? Imported cheese sampler?

Salad skewers would be awesome because BBQ is kind of heavy! What a great idea! ❤️

Maybe deviled eggs? Or sliders? Or fruits & veggies? I'm just trying to think what appetizers at BBQ restaurants are!
