CLOSE MY ACCOUNT

Terri, on March 18, 2011 at 4:07 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 9

I've emailed weddingwire several times to close my account and still NOTHING. I really wish they allowed us access to close our own accounts or they did what they said they would do when we emailed them. This totally SUCKS!

I'm confused. You want to close your account but you are posting on the forum?

Just delete all your stuff, they will do it eventually. I closed my account once and they do take care of it.

E-mail support@weddingwire.com and ask them to remove all your posts, and close your account.

@ Fun bride I have been emailing support@weddingwire for over a month now and they've yet to take action. It's so frustrating!!!!!!!!! If they're not going to close the accounts then they need to allow access so that we can close the accounts ourselves.

Go to the editing website and clear as much info as you can. On the right side of the screen there's a section that says "webisite summary". Click on "edit" for the URL and clear all that out! Removing all the pages on your wedding website to "start over". This is the correct way to do it. However, WW does not have control over what Google indexes. If you had you or your fiances first and last name listed or phone number, Google could have picked up on this to index. Unfortunately when something is updated on WeddingWire it does not automatically transfer into Google searches. You will have to wait for Google to re-index their information from WeddingWire.

If you have any other questions, please email support@weddingwire.com Smiley smile

Thank you Hayley!! That was helpful. Now if only weddingwire would DELETE MY ACCOUNT!!!!!!!! And believe me....I've emailed them several times. I am now convinced that they simply don't even check their email....or care, or both.
