This showed up on my Pinterest homepage this morning: http://www.brit.co/money-jar-for-honeymoon-fund/ I shrank back at first, but did give the article a quick glance. It's about 50/50 card boxes and asking for cold, hard cash.

She isnt doing a honeyfund/ jar. I don't think OP wants advice on begging for money. She shared a tacky article that's all.

I really wish sometimes that I could report pins simply for being a bad idea. Like that one about how putting sugar water in your hair makes it shiny and straight...

That globe was really cute though. It could be used to hold cards?

@Allymonbanana I thought the globe was cute, too. It's basically just a different style of card box. The trouble comes if people set it up asking for honeymoon money.

Most of the stuff on the list was just what I consider alternatives to card boxes which are okay. However, the stuff that's clearly labeled as honeymoon funds...never! Also, a Honeymoon Shower? GTFO! I would not be attending a Honeymoon Shower. Oh and that poem...I don't care how long you've lived together. I've lived with FH for over a year. There are plenty of items that we can upgrade and also more expensive items that we can put on and people can purchase together as a group gift.

I like the keep sake boxes with the countries written on them. DH and I are huge travelers and this is a great way to keep things from our travels together. I have a huge box of metro cards, post cards, magnets and other keepsakes. I am totally doing the box thing for ourselves.
