Church rentals for non members?????

You may need to find a church or chapel that does not have a congregation and minister.

In my area, there is a chapel on a historic site and a church owned by the historical society. Both are available for rent.

I don't know what's available up in Tallahassee.

Sorry. my church does. and they done ask for a particular price just that you "donate what you can" but i dont know any one where you are.

Usually churches don't "rent out" their facilities - although a lot of churches do non-member weddings, it's not like you can just get the empty space and do what you want with it. Unless the building is sitting vacant for some reason or it's a historic chapel, like Nancy said.

Usually you pick a church, call the office, ask if they do non-member weddings, and then meet with the pastor to see if it's going to be a good fit. Most churches see marriage as a sacrament so they're going to have rules about what you can and can't do in the space, you want to find a community whose values will mesh with yours so things go smoothly.

Usually they don't, but you might want to check out the Unitarian Universalist churches in your area.

But if you're not a member of a church, why do you want to get married in one? There are plenty of other sites....

I was raised up in the church. Since I have moved towns as an adult, I have yet to find a church that is right for me in Tallahassee. I am looking at other sites but want to keep my options open.
