Seeking advice on what to do. For months a man at my church has been making me feel very uncomfortable. He will seek me out during church just so he can give me a hug and kiss on the cheek even though I try to dodge him, When I was sitting in my car after church making a phone call he knocked on my car window and kept telling me to roll the window down, He continues to tell me how lovely and beautiful that I am, 1 week before my wedding he asked for phone number so he could talk to me during the week which I replied no!!! Sunday he hugged me really tight and gave me a gross sloppy kiss on the cheek and before the benediction he came over to me and said did you want this? He handed me my wedding program which I thought was very creepy. Not sure how and why he had it. I sped walked out of church so upset and creeped out. My cousin who attends church with me has witnessed the creepy behavior. I'm afraid to tell my pastor because I do not want to be judged by the congregation. Any advice would be helpful!

Why would church members judge you? You haven't done anything wrong!! that is creepy behavior, and although he may not mean to be creepy, he's making you uncomfortable. I'm sure your pastor wouldn't want that. Talk to him, or his wife if you are more comfortable with that.

Yikes. I would definitely say you need to get authorities in on this. I wouldnt be surprised if past criminal activity was exactly this sort of thing. Tell your husband and church officials immediately.

The church has a lot of clicks that's why I was worrying about judgement.

Then you’re going to the wrong church. They should support you.
Also TELL YOUR HUSBAND! He’s allowed to have an opinion on this, even if he does “fly off the handle”.
Go to your pastor or his wife about this, ASAP. The situation is not going to get better by doing nothing.

Lots of great advice from earlier posts...I hope you find a solution that will bring peace for you. I cringed so much reading your post and my heart goes out to you as it sounds like a very difficult position to be in.

Please reach out to others and like a few mentioned before, allow an opportunity for others to support you & do the right thing. Also-he may be doing this to others in the church and your courage to bring an end to it could also be a blessing to someone else. Sending you hugs and strength!

Thank you everyone for the advice! I decided that I will be speaking with my pastor about this matter. I just cannot stay silent any longer.
