Church Ceremony

I am only doing 2 alter arrangements from my florist for my church. Our church is beautiful and after a discussion I started a bit back on here, it seemed that everyone here also agreed that no decor was needed. The nice thing about the arrangements is that they will double as decor at the reception so win win!!

I am doing 2 large alter arrangements for the church. The florist will do them and deliver them. They will then be moved to the reception space. They will likely cost about $200 each.

I am also doing pew florals. However, since they will only be used for the ceremony and can't be repurposed for the reception I am doing them myself rather than have the florist make them. My mom has a large white hydrangea bush in her garden: we are tying 3 together with a cascading ribbon. Will put on the end of every 5th pew or so. We did a mockup on August 8 of this year, since our wedding is August 8, 2020 we wanted to see how the flowers would look. I think it's simple but has a good impact! My moms friend will set them up for us the day-of as she lives near the church.

My church has a modern auditorium vibe to it. We chose not to do any decoration at all to avoid paying the janitorial fee. Honestly because it's so cavernous even doing some decorations would have been overpowered by the "modern" vibe. We changed the background lights on stage and that's about it.

We are just doing flowers on the altar. Our church has a lot of guidelines on what you can and can't do in regards to decoration so we figured we'd just keep it simple with altar flowers. And the inside is already very beautiful so we decided we didn't need anything else

I'm planning on only doing a eucalyptus garland across every other pew and some eucalyptus and maybe like a floral ring on the altar. Nothing too much.

My mom is getting tulle and flowers to decorate on the pews. We might use some of our lanterns as well then take them over to the venue
