Christian marriage books

Kiki, on July 30, 2019 at 6:26 PM Posted in Family and Relationships 0 9
It's two months before our wedding andy FH has told me he wanted to read something that could maybe give him some tips and help him with what is to come (which I thought was super sweet). Obviously I could probably use guidance too 🤣 but! It would be nice to start off our marriage strong. we would also love for the book to also focus on God, but I'm open to anything.

My FH and I did the 31 prayers devotional! It really opened our eyes to what we wanted from our marriage and at the end you write a letter to give to your spouse on your wedding day! We really enjoyed it and brought us a lot closer as a couple and to God!

I would recommend The Five Love Languages. Not a Christian based book but very good!

Agreed! Also, our pastor recommended we read a book called Right From The Start. Since this is both of our second marriage and we are older, it seemed like a lot of it we couldn't necessarily relate to as much as we could have the first time, but we both agreed it would have been very beneficial for a young couple just starting out and really for anyone it did have some good questions for future spouses to discuss to see what they expected from marriage. Good luck!

Sadly the title of the books escape me but these are the authors and you will know which book it is because it has marriage in the title.

    *Chip Ingram
Gary Chapman wrote the 5 Love Languages and he is a Christian author. Chip Ingram is as well. I have listen to and read books by both and they are biblical sound.

The Meaning of Marriage by Timothy Keller. It’s a little dense, but it’s amazing!

My fiance and I went through pre-cana and we read "12 Hours to a Great Marriage" and both really enjoyed it. I liked that it wasn't just us reading but gave us things to talk about Smiley smile
