Choreographed First Dance

H was the same way - he was much more concerned about all eyes on us for our first dance than our ceremony. We took a couple short lessons from a huge dance studio chain, loosely choreographed our dance (very simple moves, nothing crazy), and practiced it the days leading up to the wedding. We still slipped up a couple of times but he was so much more relaxed and confident! He enjoyed it so much even said we could continue taking lessons as a joint hobby

We're planning on doing a choreographed first dance in addition to taking ongoing ballroom lessons. I started ballroom dancing when I was only nine years old, and it's been a big part of my life, so the wedding is the perfect excuse for my fiancé to learn!

I definitely want to do this too! I always thought choreographed dances looked so elegant, and I'm sure pictures turn out great! FH is a really fun dancer to faster songs, but we could use some help with ballroom dancing.

We're planning on a choreographed first dance. Otherwise I'd feel so awkward in front of everybody just swaying. I think it's important to note that people won't care if you mess up the choreography, and that's if they even notice.
