Should we have an usher or should we do a sign? Unfortunately, based on recent weddings in our circle, letting people evenly distribute between seats themselves wasn't successful so it'll have to be one or the other.

Not having any ushers and enough guests are old school enough to try to pick sides. I chose a simple sign "Pick a seat, not a side" without the cutsie extras or trying to rhyme. We also have reserved seat tags for immediate family members.

I'm having the sign that says "we're all family here once the knot is tied so pick a seat and not a side" and have been to plenty of weddings with it and with at least 200 guests and it was fine. I think an usher is pointless
