Chocolate fountain & candy table...should we do both?

At this point I'm worried about waste. I don't want to have a bunch of crap left over. I definitely want the chocolate fountain and my best friend has offered to help with the costs of the candy buffet. I'm just not sure if both are necessary. Do you think guests would appreciate both?

We did a chocolate fountain and it was a HIT. My wife and I were dancing and then all of a sudden, everyone was GONE! We looked around and found they venue had started up the chocolate fountain and it was rushed by everyone there. It's a very popular item! There wasn't much chocolate left by the end so the waste was minimal. We took home what was left over (minus the chocolate as there wasn't much left).

I think I'm gonna pray for the best and have my chocolate fountain...I can't imagine my reception without it!
