Chest Taping?

TheeOne2Love, on January 19, 2017 at 11:53 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 15

I recently learned that bridal/formal shops are able to tape your breast to hold them in place if you are wearing a garment or dress that would require you to go braless. Has anyone ever done this? I called a local bridal shop and they said its $35. My chest are VERY large. I am wondering if it will work for me. Anyone have with experience with this.?

I've taped my own chest before, though I don't have a huge chest I'm a C cup. I haven't had any issues in doing this in the past, and would've been fine doing it on my wedding day had a bra not been an option. Not really sure if this answers your question, though.

I have heard of this but my only issue that I would take into consideration in the wedding night *wink**wink*. When considering my under garments I'm trying to think of the least awkward if magic happens right away. Do I want FH to have to remove 5 lays of Spanx, bras, slips and corsets?

But I could be way over thinking it and you can slip into the bathroom to freshen up and remove all the extras.

I've taped my own breasts before for my engagement party. I'm a 38DDD. It lasted the entire night. But my poor nipples when I took it off.

@Brittany lol I thought about that too, I would try to slip away, before hand. That could be pretty awkward.

@S&J in the youtube videos I watched they put a small layer of tissue over the nipple to prevent that. Your dress is pretty btw.

Would it be possible to sew cups into the front of your dress, so it gives you some coverage/support but doesn't show on the back?

Apparently Kim Kardashian uses something called "gaffing tape" when she does it, and it works really well. Cant speak from experience, but I plan on trying it when I get my dress.

I think FH would enjoy unwrapping my boobs. Like a present to open. LOL!!

I am going to look into this. How awesome! Is it more comfortable than a strapless bra?

I'm a 36DD and I have used all kinds of tape. I'm a firm believer in the Kim Kardashian gaffers tape method! Just get a roll of it and practice before hand. I found the best method for me was to start by leaning over and taping from left to right across my chest. Then another piece from right to left. This created a sort of shelf for my boobs to sit on and pushed them upwards. It takes a lot of practice to get it right and find a method that works for you.

I bought my gaffers tape on Amazon for about $15, so it's not the cheapest. This is the kind of tape that's used for taping down microphone wires on the stage and what not. It is not as crinkly as duct tape.

It's called gaffer's tape. I couldn't find it so I used the closest thing it was was like vinyl tape. The key to it is to create a halter style from the shoulders. That will give you support. I made my fiancé help me lol. I felt like my boobs were wrapped in a bungee cord but pain is beauty lmao

I could have a cup sewn into my wedding dress but I just want maximum support. I will be changing into a reception dress and I want to be secure all night. I also want to be comfortable. I think I am going to try it this weekend. lol I will let you all know how it turns out.

This is the first time I've ever heard of this. Is the gaffer tape the kind they use in theater productions?

I've actually used this bra and it works pretty good. And that's when I was a G cup. I had a reduction so I'm down to a 34DD. Reduction made me nice and perky so bras are a thing of the past now lol
