Cherry Blossoms

Any craft store should carry the branches. I would use them to do a wishing tree! (bottom left)

We are doing silk flowers. They are going to be silk cherry blossom branches submerged in a cylindrical water thing. Actually going for my mockup this weekend so I'll post pics. ;-) If you google cherry blossom wedding stuff you'll find tons! Check out my inspiration boards and you can see the cherry blossom cake I'm going to do and if you google that too you will find lots of good cake ideas.

Something to help compare the cost of artificial vs. fresh -- a DIY suggestion:

Since your wedding will be in the summer months, contact a local landscaping/tree trimming company (or Craigslist it) to ask for branches. Many local companies allow me to come to the site and get as much as i want -- especially since they just chip the branches anyway.

You can purchase fresh pink leptospermum (aka ''lepto'') or wax flower from your local florist. These fresh, woody stems are each to clip and attach to the branches (ie hot glue, wire, etc). You will have fresh, fragrant product as centerpieces or whatever.

Forgot to mention that each fresh stem is relatively inexpensive and contains A LOT of blooms. They also hold up really well out of water.

Cherry blossoms were my original flower. I had ordered a sample from www.afloral.com and they looked really nice. I don't remember the price though.
