Cheap but good champagne...

FutureMrsO, on May 8, 2017 at 11:44 PM Posted in Planning 0 11

I'm having beer and wine at my wedding but I saw some champagne at the store that's on sale, one is a dry with hints of Apple and citrus, one is a sparkling raspberry from Italy, and one has hints of honey and berries I believe but doesn't mention dry on the label. Which of these would be better do you think? ETA: our menu is grilled chicken with mango salsa, Normandy vegetables, rice pilaf, and garlic bread.

Depends on the menu you have. I would recommend getting 2 types cause some people could have allergies to one

Would you have any recommendations @Mrs Fall Bride? I haven't had champagne before but would love to have some at the wedding for toasts.

I'd go with something like LaMarca prosecco.

Not sure if you have a Costco Wholesale where you live, but if so, the Kirkland brand Prosecco is delish!

Champagne is from Champagne, France. Sparkling wine is from elsewhere.

Martini & Rossi's Asti is my favorite and it runs about $10 a bottle around me. It's not flavored but it is sweet and delicious!

Cheap, good champagne doesn't exist. You want sparkling wine or Prosecco, both of which have good cheap brands.

I'm not doing any champagne at our wedding! First it tastes gross and second why not let everyone toast to the drink they enjoy?!

Champagne might be a bit too much with your menu selections, unless this is strictly for toasting. I would suggest looking into maybe a sparkling Moscato. Also, before you buy it in bulk, purchase a bottle to take home and try.

Prosseco from Costco! It's super yummy and $6.99 a bottle (in Southern California)
