Did you email and ask what an average wedding costs? I did that with most of my venues and they were very open with telling me.

Hi there! I am getting married at Chateau Briand in March!!! we were actually torn between the same 2 as you, but when we went in for a second meeting at crest the attendant was awful he tried to get us to just sign the contract! we still had many questions regarding meal choice, see the bridal suites etc... my friend did book at crest and she has had her banquet manager changed 3 times! I am sorry to scare you I just like to be up front, anyway back to what you asked for! we added a vienesse hour and we are paying $130 p.p for a Friday night Smiley smile when are you looking to get married?

That is so nice! yes, chateau briand gives your guest 10 entrée to choose from the day of the event... at crest hollow it is 3 which is fine but I asked if we can substitute 1 of the chicken dishes to chicken francese because that is my favorite and he said only for the bride so I thought that was odd, but also we were interested in having the vienesse hour and at crest hollow he would not go over it with us he kept saying we can worry about that later and come to find out it is not a full vienesse you have to add all different stations where at chateau they were very fine with discussing the vienesse hour and majority of what you would want is all included.

Ok so Viennese I was quoted 1200 additional, 12 bucks per head at Cresthollow. So it's not a full one? That is good to know! Thank you. They had told us 7 dishes for dinner to choose from. I am definitely checking out Chateau. I've heard great things!

No, for the Viennese it is not full at crest not even the chocolate fountain will be included that was a few hundred dollars extra can you believe it. You are very welcome!! When we went they said the night of you have 3 options but the chicken dish I love was not one of them I’m not sure if now they allow you to choose from 7 the night before hmm... yes definitely check out chateau I have been engaged for two years and have also attended 2 bridal show cases there and have always been happy with their food and service at the events. I hope you like them!! Let me know what you think after you meet with them

I’m getting married at chateau on June 26th which is a Saturday so it’s a bit more then a Friday. We were quoted $130 but after taxes and fees it comes out to $168 or something like that. Crest is beautiful on the outside but the inside felt like it was from the 70’s.. that place needs major updates inside. They wanted to charge us like over $200 a person for a Saturday’s I was like no way.. chateau is newly renovated and the price was right.. now I’m hoping they open back up. I would also check at this point about what your rights are if a venue goes bankrupt while negotiating. Just make sure you are protected or at least know that your down payment is at risk. That way there are no surprises 😊

Did Chateau say anything to you about opening? Have they contacted you about your wedding in March? Just curious what the protocol is as my wedding is in June

Hello. Now we didn't book Chateau. We booked Foxhollow, then had to cancel our date dude to covid. We didn't get our deposit or a payment back from foxhollow.

Then we booked a smaller restaurant with a new date for Oct 30th of this upcoming year, and they closed die to pandemic. Now we are just having a small affair and putting our money into the house we just bought. Rather do that then spend it all on one nite lol.
I hope everything works out with your date! Good luck!
