I thought about using them, but just decided to use a white napkin with greenery instead. They are not really necessary

What are you going to do with them when you are done?

I would absolutely not buy them.

Being said- it was worth it TO ME- to rent them- it was an added 100$ roughly and I thought they made a huge difference on my tables. But they are 100% NOT necessary- the are purely for asthetics. If your budget is tight- just cut them.

I think it depends alot on your wedding.

My FSIL had them but it was an evening wedding with chicken beef or fish.

We are having a late afternoon wedding with taco bar buffet so we will not have chargers.

The ones that you can buy cheaply are plastic and won't fool anyone.

Our venue supplied their plain chargers (with the hotel logo and gold trim), because we served a soup course. They may have been removed before the 3rd course/entrée was served, I don't remember. They definitely weren't on the tables when the dessert course was served.

It also makes less place settings fit on the table. Keep in mind you might not have the room depending on the size of your tables and what all is going on them.

All tables, but it's not a necessity. We're skipping it.

Dollar Tree has them for a buck each right now. Red or Gold. Cases of 24.

I'm not bothering with charger plates because they're wayyyy too expensive at my venue (and we cannot bring our own). I don't think it's worth it, it's not a detail I feel like people notice or care about.

I don't even think I know what a charger plate is, so I would definitely not notice one way or the other lol

    Don't stress about it.

We are renting gold chargers, they are only 50 cents each and we like how they enhance the look of the table. They are not a must have though.

I would skip them if you don't have them in the budget they are not necessary. I am renting them for a small upgrade fee from my venue just because i love the way they look.
