Hi guys, our date is Sept 26, 2020 in Portland, Maine. My fiancé and I have been dating 12 years and finally decided to get married! But now, due to Covid, I'm having a hell of a time figuring out what to do.
We were supposed to have 75 people (ALL coming from out-of-state: mainly NY, NJ, FL, NH) in a gorgeous indoor space. As of right now, Maine is requiring any visitors to the state to be either tested negative 72 hours before (you need paperwork to check into hotels) or quarantine for 14 days - this plan runs at least through August.
The venue does not have a permit for dancing, so there will already be no dancing anyways. I also have no bridal party.
My best friend & college roommate is getting married in fall 2021 and we would have a lot of the same guests coming from out of state if we postponed to the following year. I'm afraid to do that because it will be expensive for those guest and I'm worried they would have to choose.
Just wondering if any of you have gotten a pulse check for traveling guests and what would you do if you were me?
