mine and my mothers birthday are both in September. I was going to get married in September on my birthday I now changed my mind and will be getting married in April 2023. I just feel like September is going to start being a depressing month for me reason below.

My mother has Alzheimer's and is now in the end stage. It has progressed so fast. I just got word that my mother only has from a few days, weeks to possibly a few months left.

    I’m so sorry to hear about your mother. My grandmother has dementia and Alzheimer’s and it’s a horrible thing to watch a loved one suffer with. My thoughts are with you. I think an April wedding sounds beautiful! I’m getting married in May next year, I love spring weddings!

    Try to separate your feelings of grief from your feelings of joy of how you got to celebrate your birthdays in September. Those are happy memories and although they may stir up feelings focus on the positives that were of the past. Perhaps it’s good your wedding gets a different month. A fresh month for a new life with your future partner.
