Changing clothes

Jeanette, on June 18, 2019 at 9:58 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 1 19
Has anyone changed into a different dress or even a jumpsuit for the reception?
I was thinking a bridal jumpsuit to be more comfy and able to move alot easier. Also as a shocker @ the reception

I have a love/hate relationship with this idea. Part of me thinks it’s super fun, but the other part of me doesn’t want to take the dress off.
Were having an actual bonfire after the reception, so I think I’ll be changing AT LEAST for that lol

I didn’t. I loved my dress and I dance in it all night long. I had a lot of events prior that I got to use different bridal outfits. True a dress can be a bit uncomfortable but is that one and only night you’ll wear it. At least that’s how I see it.

I am planning to wear my wedding gown all night because it is my only chance to wear it so I want as much time as possible in it! Ask me after an outdoor wedding in July and I may have a different opinion though 😂

I thought about this but I didn’t want to spend money on two outfits so I am changing my hairstyle for the reception!

Haha same! Not to mention how much I spent on the dress and alterations! I am getting every second I can out of that beautiful gown.

I'd sleep in my dress if I could ...😄
I'm keeping it on as long as possible. After our send off, I'll have to change and give it to someone to keep since we are leaving the country, on our Honeymoon.
Otherwise, I'd wear it all night Smiley smile

I too love and hate the idea. I absolutely think it's smart in terms of being able to move around better because believe me so many people stepped on my dress and it was hard to walk in sometimes but... I also don't like the idea of the fact that we are in the dress for such a short amount of time anyway.

I think I'm the same. If there is an afterparty I'll change. Then again, I don't think my dress will be that uncomfortable anyway. I don't want to need help with using the ladies room!

I'm changing into a long sleeve white lace jumpsuit for our sendoff! We're going away on FH's motorcycle, and I definitely couldn't wear my mermaid dress on that (since I can't spread out my legs in it). My jumpsuit is super cute and comfy so I'm excited to wear it!

My cousin’s wife did this at their wedding. It was cute, but I personally can not justify spending so much money for a dress I’ll only wear for an hour just to change into something more comfortable. My cousin was able to do it because my aunt made both of her dresses, so money wasn’t an issue. I made sure my dress was comfy and will wear slip shorts underneath for more comfort.

I love this idea but I want to wear my dress as long as possible, especially for how much I paid for it! I made sure I could dance, and move easily so I COULD wear it all night. Might even keep it on for the after party in the hotel bar haha

Thank you!! I'm thinking about getting a white leather jacket to go with it.... we'll see! That'd help stay a little warmer since we'll be getting marred in February!

That's awesome. Love it. The over skirt trailing behind will look really cool.
