Changing bm dress color

Hi ladies...I am stressing big time!! So, I had my heart set on a soft muted wedding. My colors are dusty rose (mauve), light pink, ivory, and silver accents. My one and only BM, however, looked terrible in all the light colored dresses so we ended up getting her a gown in Plum. Is this going to look bad if I continue my theme as originally planned? Please talk me off a ledge here. I am starting to stress BIG TIME.

It's a dark bold jewel tone. Total opposite of the soft muted tones I had planned on

I think one bold jewel tone will look really pretty against all your soft muted colors! If you’re worried about her standing out maybe you could make one small thing plum as well just to tie it together. I’m getting married in July and wanted all my BMs in blush.....they all looked SO bad because the color is so light. I thought burgundy was too dark for the summer but oh well. I’d rather my bridesmaids look and feel good.

I'm sure this will be gorgeous! I was struggling with similar issues - I love blush as a color but it just washes out my attendants, so I went with a more coral hue. And plus, one person in a jewel-toned dress won't really alter your decor/color/look overall. Go with it! It sounds lovely!
