    I thought this was a great article up until this portion:

    "the new guidelines are meant to ensure that wedding vendors aren’t referring to a history that includes slavery using language such as “elegant" or “charming.""

    Maybe it's just me, but I don't think of slavery at all when I hear the words "elegant" or "charming". Sounds like a bit of a stretch in my opinion lol

    I think they just mean referring to a plantation setting as elegant or charming. When it’s really a site where torture happened and people were treated as subhuman.

    I think it's more so about the fact that people of color are not seen when using such tags. I literally have to type in black brides or people of color in order to find people who look like me. But I agree the terms should not at all be associated with the weddings of non poc specifically.

    I'm glad they're making these changes. I never understood how anyone would feel okay getting married at a place where so many people were dehumanized, tortured, and killed
