Change of location

Desiree, on May 7, 2017 at 12:17 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 6

We have had to change the location of our wedding. We are wanting to send out something stating the change of where it will be and a sort of apology for the confusing just not sure of what wording to use. Help please!!

We've sent out save the dates that had the location because it would've been a 4-5 hour drive for most guests

Your wedding is still 9 months away, how would people even know what your original plan was? Did you send out save the dates crazy early?

I would only do a follow-up if the change was huge, like if it was going to be in your home town and now you are doing a destination wedding in Mexico. The STD doesn't usually have anything other than a broad location anyway.

Yeah OP, i would just update your wedding website?, send out invitations with the correct location (obviously), and use word of mouth here.

Most STDs only list the date n city. If you have the venue listed on a wedding website, I would just update that n not worry about it. The correct info will get to the guests via the invite, when sent.

Is the venue in the same city as the original venue? I'm thinking if OOT guests would have to make other flight/hotel reservations...
