Change of date/decor

Hello Brides! I need some help. As many of you have had to change your weddings I did too. I was planning a spring wedding and now we are July 4th. Ceremony outside, reception inside. Some things I'm debating...

-Men are in Black tux (waiting to hear from Men's Warehouse about a date change- anyone else talk to them?) Should I get over the fact that I wanted formal black tux so my guys don't pass out at ceremony?

-Girls are in sage green and that can't change as they have their dresses but flowers could. I was doing all greenery with a touch of white flowers. How can I keep with the theme but make it more summer?

-Should I fins ways to add a touch of 4th of July to our day? We were less than a month out so everything was pretty much done. I've been on Pintrest looking at formal 4th of July ideas. Girls are in green so too much red would look Christmas... right? Centerpieces were a lot of vases with white candles. Using a lot of gold, white, sage, greenery.

Any creative ideas would be great! I can post pics if that helps. Glad to know I'm not the only one in this situation.

I think you can keep all the aspects you were having for your spring wedding for your new date. I don’t think you need to change aspects of it to match July fourth

As for the tuxes and flowers, talk to your vendors. They should be able to give you different options that may not stray too far from what you want.

As for adding a July 4th aspect to your wedding, i agree with the PP. You don’t have to change anything about your wedding. If anything, I would add the July 4th aspect to the departure from the reception by using sparklers. It’s not too over the top, but your guests would likely recognize the nod to July 4th given your wedding’s proximity to the holiday. And the sparklers don’t have to be red, white and blue. Just a thought.

I’d keep it as it is. It sounds beautiful and that was you initial vision. I think you’d be disappointed if you changed from what you wanted just because the date had to change.
We got our tuxes through men’s warehouse as well, my fiancé wanted grey so they’re in probably the same tux as your guys but in grey. We haven’t talked to them yet because we haven’t changed the date and our plans are still up in the air. I’d let your fiancé decide if he wants black or if he wants to switch to grey.

Didn't know they had gray! Thanks! Hope your plans don't have to change.

They’ve actually got two shades of grey for a tux. It’s identical to the black in style. There’s a really light grey (what my fiancé wanted) and a darker grey (we’re using that shade for his dad). It’s worth a look for sure 💗good luck!
