Change of Date Cards?

erista, on March 12, 2018 at 10:33 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 3

Hi Everyone-

We've recently had to change the date of our wedding due to my fiance having a medical emergency. I want to send out notifications of the change as soon as possible, since our original wedding date was only 2 months away. I'm having a little difficulty figuring out the wording of the change of date cards, does anyone have any cute or clever suggestions?

Thanks!

Did you ever send out invitations/stds?

I would start spreading with word of mouth, text, email, calls at this point. If you didn't send invitations, I wouldn't worry about a card. Cards take time, so if you wish still do the card but get the info out via other ways ASAP.

Since you said you sent STDs on your other thread, I agree with @Nuptials. I would start calling people ASAP. You want to give people time to change their plans

The wedding of Jane Doe and John Smith has been postponed to month day, year. We look forward to seeing you on that date.

If you already have the venue and time, add that information.
