Change my Dress Shopping time?!!

Dawn, on June 10, 2019 at 3:18 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 7
I have my first dress appointment tomorrow that I’m super excited for. I told my mom two weeks in advance. She calls me this morning and asked if I can move the time because she has a prior engagement that she wants to go to as well and she is just telling me about it. My Future Husband and Father in Law both told me to keep my time where it’s at and it’s not fair of her to ask me to change it. What would you all do in this situation?

If you really want your mother there I would try to change it. It's possible they won't be able to accommodate your request for a new time but it's worth a shot.

Sure she should've prioritized you, but she probably didn't think it was a big deal to just go later. Sometimes parents don't realize that you actually have to make appointments for time slots. 😊

Everyone will have their own opinion, but if you have her two weeks notice and she’s just telling you she has something else, I would go by myself.....but that’s just me. You planned in advance and she had plenty of time to ask you to change. Sorry....I just don’t tolerate stuff like that. Do you have a friend that could go with you?

If it was me, I’d go. You told her in an advance and I’m sure yours came first before the prior engagement. If you want your mom there and it doesn’t upset you too much, I would reschedule

My “Dude of Honor” is going to be there already, so I’ll have him. The thing I didn’t like about it was her saying this the day before my appointment time. When it comes to this wedding, I’m not tolerating a lot of stuff.

Keep the appointment time. You gave her plenty of notice for her to check her calendar.

Keep it! My mom couldn't make my first appt we live in two different states. I just went back with her again and let her see me in the dress I chose. We do live 2hrs from each other but even if we lived in the same city I would have still went. She told you at the last min so unless she's paying for the dress I wouldn't change it

I’d keep it! If you find The One, you can invite her back to say “yes” to the dress. Or visit a 2nd shop with your mom on another trip.
