Champagne or no champagne?

Is champagne necessary? We will have wine and beer at the reception already. Is champagne necessary for the toasts or can we just stick with the wine and beer? Thanks so much!!

Our venue told us that a lot of the champagne left on the tables for the toast gets thrown out because people already have other drinks. i love champagne though so i think we will serve it at our cocktail hour.
