Chalkboard or Wooden Signs?

Catalena, on July 3, 2019 at 4:41 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 5
So a couple weeks ago I went to Hobby Lobby and got a BUNCH of decorations for our venue. Without thinking I bought chalkboard and wooden signs.

The wooden signs I bought were for the photo booth (which I’m probably not going to do anymore anyway), cards and gifts, and our “Mr.” and “Mrs.” signs for our chairs.

The chalk ones I bought were for the menu board, drink(s) menu, memorial table, and unplugged ceremony.

Soooo my thing is would it look tacky to have both types of signs, or should I pick one or the other?!

I think you can definitely have both! I like a little bit of variety.

Not tacky at all. Mixing and matching mediums can add to a really cool look at a wedding. If you’re worried, think about adding more wooden elements in other parts of your decor to tie them in. You don’t need to though. And try to use the same color lettering on both- that’s what people are looking anyways. I found that using a white paint marker (from Michaels) did a better job and was easier to use than chalk. Used them for all our signs.
