Chairs...

If it's in your budget I would look into renting chairs from an events company. Or invest in chair covers. Good luck!

Usually I tell ppl don't do chair covers. but these chairs look like class room chairs so maybe if you can find some streamers or ribbon to decorate it it'd be better. but if you've any wiggle room at all for chair rentals it could be cheap. I rented white folding chairs for my ceremony outdoors and it was 70 cents a chair so it doesn't necessarily add up to that much. But I understand if you don't have room in your budget for it so if you can find an I expensive way to decorate like tying ribbon in it maybe it'll work

I don't think chair covers would work for these. I'd either rent others or just leave them as it. IMO using a ribbon or something to dress them up will just bring attention to them.

They are ugly but I don't think covers would work for these type of chairs without making them look worse. I personally would just leave them alone. They will hold butts just as good as pretty white ones will and I doubt anyone will even pay attention to them.

Get the basic white chairs from a rental venue that is what we are using they are not bad at all in price and look pretty!

Honestly no one is going to care about the chairs as much as you will, but for your own piece of mind... I definitely wouldn't spend money to cover them or add anything to them. Does the color go with your theme at all? Or could you incorporate it somehow so there isn't a stark contrast between the chairs and the tables/decorations?

I really think you're the only one who will notice or remember these (do you remember what the chairs looked like at the last wedding you attended, i cant!) I personally wouldn't spend the money to change or add to them. Do you have your colors picked? If your colors kind of incorporate that shade (even just a few flowers in your bouquet or something) it might end up looking really pretty!

If you don't have the budget to overhaul/rent new chairs, don't worry about it! No one will notice the chairs if you don't call attention to them As long as it's a good time, the chairs are only going to be something you remember.

If you have a small budget, even doing some kind of chair cover or bow, or decoration would be helpful, but I wouldn't go wild on it!

Our colors are slate blue and grey, but the overall scheme/theme is books/library so the color palette I'm going for is "colors you would find on old book covers" so it wouldn't necessarily look bad...I'm thinking doing anything to them will just draw attention to them.

If you're using books like that for centerpieces or are having flowers at the reception, even a few thrown in that are a similar mauve-ish color as the chair I think would make look more part of the room. Otherwise, it definitely wont' look bad and as soon as people sit down - you won't even notice!

I'm just not the kind of person to care what a chair looks like as long as its clean and sturdy.
I think spending extra money on different chairs would be a waste.
But I also told the rental lady I didnt want table linens because I really didnt give a damn. 🤷‍♀️

With your library theme, I don't think they will clash at all. I'd just leave them.

With your color scheme and theme I think that the chairs actually coordinate nicely. I wouldn't spend money to rent chairs or try to decorate them in some way.

See if anyone has chair covers for cheap. Ribbon would work- large style ribbon- even the Dollar Tree can have the style to work.

Also, maybe someone would be willing to cover a chair rental or cover rental as a wedding gift to you? You’d be surprised at how people would like to help and that is a great gift idea too..

These chairs are perfect for library theme! They’re actually comfy too.

I think these chairs will oddly enough fit your theme. I think adding ribbon is drawing attention to them. I also don't think most people will care as long as they have somewhere to sit.

GIRL. Chairs are my thing. If you notice them CHANGE them. Find a way to budget for better chairs, trust me. How many chairs do you need? I would for sure talk to a rental company about different chairs...but once again that is me. Everyone has the thing they notice, for some it's flowers, for others linens, you have to decide what is important to you and what you will notice the most.
