Chair covers or rent chairs ?

Can you ask the venue to give you some pictures of past weddings where they left the chairs without covers? They look not great in that photo but they may look good with the room all decorated like in Staci's example. If you need to decorate the chairs, I'd go cheap and cheerful.

@Marbles: I went to google for other couples that used that venue. And it looks like nobody used the chairs,most used wooden or chiavari.

I think covers can look bulky, so I do like the spandex ones, it's a bit sharper. ADORE chavari, but pretty spendy. What about white garden chairs? Those are usually a lot cheaper. Here's an example: http://www.pinterest.com/pin/100134791689616698/

Well, if it's important to you then do what you think will look best! We're on a tight budget so renting chairs at that price would be out of the question for me. But chair covers are usually much cheaper to rent so if I was in your shoes and it was important to me, I'd be going whichever way is cheapest.

I went through the same thing and decided on the spandex chair covers b/c renting the actual chairs were too expensive.
